My next portrait subject was a painter who is best known for her portraits and Mexican themed art. It is Frida Kahlo!
Frida’s outfits were colorful and she liked to wear flowers in her hair, making her a lovely portrait subject.
I improvised her jewelry and added a real bead to the bottom of her earrings.
There are so many highlights of color in her face.
The flowers look a bit abstract up close. Her braided hair was created by just indicating the highlights of the knots on top of her head.
