“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you imagined.” - Thoreau
Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you could stop by. Well, “Who the heck are you and what are you doing here?” you ask?
A little about moi: I am a wife to a loving husband, and mother to three great boys. In my life B.K. (before kids) I did social work for a government agency, and I worked at an employment agency until my first son was born over 14 years ago. I have been lucky enough to be home raising my kids since then!
I have always dabbled in art in one form or another. I started out in high school with watercolors, then moved to oils, acrylics, embroidery, knitting, collage, and colored pencils. Inspired by the colorful landscape of our Colorado home, I have primarily circled back to my first love of watercolors -- though I still love to dabble in a little bit of everything! I recently started an Etsy shop dedicated to helping people in their creative endeavors with original watercolor clipart.
Now that my last little birdie has left the nest to go to school, I am thrilled to be able to focus on my creative adventures. I'm excited to share my passion and enthusiasm for art, illustration, painting, crafting, paper, embroidery, nature and the simple pleasures of an ordinary life!
I find it fitting to begin the journey on my very favorite season, fall.
There are so many things I love about fall. It is a time of transition as the leaves change color, the days darken, and nature turns inward to sleep for the winter. It is a time to stay inside, be cozy, make warm meals and spend time together!! It is also the perfect time for great craft projects to keep you occupied as we head into the colder “indoor” months.
In celebration of this new beginning, I would like to share a free printable and tutorial with a few ideas on how to use it! You can download the Halloween printable pictured below by clicking here.
Here are the supplies you will need:
- Paper to print on (This art looks gorgeous printed on photo matte paper, but simple white card stock is just fine).
- Transparent tape
- Toothpicks
- A pair of sharp scissors
First, print out your free Halloween clipart onto your preferred paper.
Use a nice, sharp pair of scissors to carefully cut around the image. I like to leave a little white space around the edge for contrast.
Here is what they look like once they are cut out:
Now, turn over your cut-out to the white side. Get a small piece of tape, and tape your toothpick to the cut-out as shown in the photo below.
All Done!!
Now have a party to celebrate!!! These Halloween graphics make fantastic cupcake toppers.
You can use your imagination and creativity and have some fun with these. How about an adorable plant decoration for someone special (it's okay if "someone special" is yourself)?!
Perhaps a treat box topper??
Or maybe some holiday decorating ...
Hope you have lots of fun! Thanks for stopping by!!!
Warmly,
Pam
