I am planning a free project for my next post, including a free printable embroidery pattern which you can join me and sew along. While I’m working on that here is a portrait I finished that will take you back to the good old 80’s.
For my next portrait subject I decided to work on a movie character who really was the emblem of my teen years, Molly Ringwald. Her pout face was just a CLASSIC. I can’t even count how many times I have watched 16 candles and rewatched it years later with my kids. It still holds up. I loved all her movies and her unique look. It was so nice to see someone who was anything but cookie cutter as a leading lady. It was a delight to bring this portrait to life, especially that flaming, red hair.
